Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) You specialize in Idea Advancement and say you are an Idea Advocate, what is that exactly? Simply that I believe in the power of ideas. Ideas can change the world. Everything that has ever been done or will ever be done started with an idea. And I’m passionate and committed to seeing people move on their ideas and bring them to life. Too many people brush off their ideas and don’t take them seriously. To me, the only thing sadder than an unfulfilled idea is a regret over not acting on one when you had the chance. How can coaching help me advance my ideas? A coaching relationship provides you with a supportive partnership, resources/tools, energy and synergy, someone who believes in you and your ideas (we all know how well meaning people tend to shut you down before you even start) and connection with someone who is just as interested in your success as you are. Coaching helps keep you moving and in action on your idea and helps you see other perspectives and opportunities. The relationship also gives you encouragement to navigate through the obstacles that are sure to come when bringing your idea to life. The Houston Chronicle says, “There are so many people with huge amounts of potential who like athletes want the highest level of result. On their own, they just can’t do it. With a coach, they have a shot at it.” What do you personally bring to the mix? I bring personal experience, training, and success. All my life, I have been fascinated with ideas and how to implement strategies to bring them into reality—how to get around obstacles and creatively come up with solutions. One of my great joys in life is the possibility of a new idea and the energy I feel when some one who previously had thought their idea was impossible and was completely stuck now sees it from a completely new ‘doable’ perspective. My clients tell me I have a knack for inspiring people to get into action on their ideas. By working with me, they feel supported and encourage to pursue the goals their ideas lead them to.
